Think – Sybil Needs More Layers PMV
Been mulling how I would go about doing a tribute pmv and while there were a few choices, Sybil was on the shortlist. She is such a good muse: the camera loves her (it just does), she’s got a prolific body of work to choose from, looks great in all positions, a pleasant voice/moan, and a lot of her scenes just mesh well. The tempo of this song has been stuck in my head from the 8 seconds I heard it in John Wick, so they deserved to go together.
During the making of I even went back and downloaded some higher res versions of some scenes because what I started with didn’t do her justice upon review. This one was made with care.
Messed around with the keyframing markers to dial the opacity around and… it made life so much easier. Previously when I went through the versions on playback review and decide to edit/cut/sub something out it usually meant having to carefully cut the replacement segment, then redoing all the opacity settings… but keyframing makes that whole process painless especially if I’d already worked out how I was going to move the opacity already… just line them up, go to each marker, go to the new clip, drop marker, set the same setting, done. Veteran pmv makers probably knew all this but I’m enjoying the discovery process.
